Free Criminal Record Searches?
We have seen it before. You find a site which claims to let you search for a person's criminal background for free. You put in a name hit the search button, and then get directed to a page with very little information and an option to buy records.

Is criminalsearches.com any different? It appears so. This site (in beta) appears to allow its visitors to do free searches--not even requiring an account. Searching for criminal information can be done using a variety of methods including name and neighborhood, and you can even sign up for criminal email alerts.

It will be interesting to see if this site can survive on advertising, or like so many others get sold and transformed into a not-really-free site.
